Darpan@petrolpump a Digital Customer Feedback Program is announced by three oil PSUs. Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited have started the scheme. To gauge service standards, these PSUs started the scheme.  Across their networks, which serve over 6 Crore consumers every day.

Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs, inaugurated the initiative.

Oil Marketing Companies will benchmark Retail Outlet standards for standardized customer facilities to keep up with rapidly changing consumer behaviour.

The scheme involves a 5-level evaluation process of 70000 retail outlets. Moreover, the Survey will be based on a set of core service parameters as well as customer amenities like clean toilets, customer-centric innovative offerings, etc. There is a classification of retail outlets based on their sales, facilities and digital transactions.

Based on the feedback, top performers will get “Shresth” and “Uttam” Awards from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and “Rajya Sarv Pratham” Awards from their respective oil companies. Darpan@petrolpump is a unique, real-time customer feedback program. We will encourage customers to give their valuable feedback, which will go a long way to enhancing retail service standards.

Also, three oil majors Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation have announced to establish around 12 ethanol manufacturing plants as part of a road map to meet the 20% ethanol blending target by 2025, according to a recent report in Financial Express.
