The Union Cabinet approved the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Unnat Gram Abhiyan, with ₹79,156 crore set aside to ensure all basic services like infrastructure, education, and healthcare are available in 63,000 tribal villages. Growth in Media, Entertainment, and Space Sector
The Union Cabinet has also approved the creation of the National Centre of Excellence (NCoE) for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR). This initiative will help the media and entertainment sector grow significantly by creating more jobs, boosting the economy, and improving India’s image globally. The center will also attract foreign investment and strengthen India’s position in the world of digital creativity.
In the space sector, Amit Shah highlighted four game-changing projects approved by the Union Cabinet. These projects include the Chandrayaan 4 Mission, the Venus Orbiter Mission, the Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS), and the development of a Re-usable Low-cost Next Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV). These missions will expand India’s knowledge of the Moon and Venus and help the country establish a space station. The BAS will further extend the scope of the Gaganyaan program, with the goal of Indian astronauts landing on the Moon by 2040.
Boosting Biotechnology
The Union Cabinet also approved the Biotechnology Research Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development scheme, which will bring innovation and a strong entrepreneurial spirit to India’s biotechnology sector.
