The National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) in Hyderabad has been officially recognized as a Centre of Excellence in the Agriculture Sector by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India. This prestigious designation marks a significant milestone for the autonomous organization that operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
Founded in 1987, MANAGE aims to enhance the agricultural extension system across India. The institute offers a range of educational programs and services, including training, consultancy, research, and policy support in agricultural extension. Notably, it provides post-graduate diplomas in Agri-warehousing Management and Agricultural Extension Management, along with a two-year program in Agri-Business Management.
On November 2, 2026, a formal recognition ceremony took place at Kaushal Bhawan in New Delhi, where the certificate was presented by Smt Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary of the MSDE. This recognition is valid for three years and signifies an opportunity for MANAGE to expand its focus on skill development, which is crucial for the growth of the agriculture sector.
