Jahangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata (29 July 1904 – 29 November 1993) was an Indian industrialist. He started the country’s first commercial airline ‘Tata Airlines, which later became India’s national airline ‘Air India’. For this reason, J. R. D. Tata is also called the father of civil aviation in India. J. R. D. Tata was the first licensed pilot in India. In 1932, J. R. D. Tata laid the foundation stone of India’s first aviation service ‘Tata Airlines’. This airline became the national airline of India in 1946 as ‘Air India’. His father was a cousin of India’s leading industrialist Jamsetji Tata. J. R. D. Tata’s mother was French, so she spent most of her childhood in France, so French was her first language. He was Born on 29 July 1904.
Singireddi Narayana Reddy (29 July 1931 – 12 June 2017) was an eminent poet of the Telugu language who was awarded the ‘Jnanpith Award. He was one of the most well-known poets of his generation. He was engaged in composing poetry for more than five decades. So far, more than 40 of his works have been published, which include poetry, songs, music, drama, dance-drama, essays, travel memoirs, literature, and ghazals. During college, C. Narayan Reddy was the centre of attraction for the people because of his poems. He then married Susheela Reddy, with whom he had four daughters. He was so impressed with his wife that he started an award in his wife’s name, which was given to women writers. Reddy was Born on 29 July 1931 in Andhra Pradesh.
Sanjay Balraj Dutt is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. He is the recipient of several awards, including two Filmfare Awards and three Screen Awards. Dutt acted in 187 films, Dutt was arrested under the TADA and the Arms Act in April 1993 and was convicted for violation of the Arms Act for possession of illegal weapons procured from other accused in the 1993 Bombay bombings. After serving his sentence, he was released in 2016. Dutt’s life receives considerable media coverage in India, and in 2018, Sanju, a biopic based on his life (which also saw a special appearance by him), was released to positive reviews and emerged as one of the highest grossers of Indian cinema. Dutt was Born on 29 July 1959 in Bombay, India.

Death Anniversary
29 July in Indian history is observed as the death anniversary of the following personalities:
Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar (26 September 1820 – 29 July 1891) was a famous social reformer, educationist, and freedom fighter of India. He was considered the protector of the poor and downtrodden. He laid great emphasis on women’s education and widow remarriage. When Vidyasagar was made the principal of the Sanskrit College in Calcutta, he opened the college to students of all castes. It was the result of his relentless campaign that the ‘Widow Remarriage Act-1856’ was finally passed. He considered it an important achievement of his life. Vidyasagar Ji also married his only son to a widow. He also waged a struggle against ‘polygamy’ and ‘child marriage’. Vidyasagar Ji kept his high family traditions intact even in the face of economic crises. He would never deviate from his path of truth even in times of trouble. He died on 29 July 1891.
Aruna Asaf Ali (16 July 1909 – 29 July 1996) was particularly famous in India’s independence movement. He did many remarkable works to get India’s independence. The name of the revolutionary, militant leader Smt. Aruna Asaf Ali, who played a leading role in India’s independence movement, is recorded in history. Aruna Asaf Ali’s important contribution to the ‘British Quit India’ movement of 1942 cannot be forgotten. Aruna Ji had been continuously fighting with the British for years to liberate the country. She died on 29 July 1996.
Johnny Walker (15 May 1923 – 29 July 2003) was the name of a well-known comedian from India. His real name was Badruddin Jamaluddin Qazi. He borrowed his name from a popular brand of whiskey, but later it became difficult to decide which of the two is more popular. He started his life as a bus conductor. It was his pastime to make jokes with the passengers on the bus, which attracted Balraj Sahni. Balraj Sahni introduced him to Guru Dutt and the two peaks of sensibility and humour became one, which created new definitions for Hindi cinema. Johnny Walker became a parallel identity of Guru Dutt’s films like ‘Baazi’, ‘Aar-Paar’, ‘Mr and Mrs 55’, ‘CID’, ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool’, ‘Pyasa’. He got many Awards Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award in 1959 (Madhumati), and Filmfare Best Comedian Award – Shikar. He died on 29 July 2003.
