ESIC’s interim payroll data reveals that 17.88 lakh new employees were added in the month of April 2023. 2023, thus ensuring greater coverage.
The data evidently reveals that more jobs have been generated for the nation’s youth as out of a total of 17.88 lakh employees added during the month, 8.37 lakh employees up to the age of 25 make up the majority of new registrations, which is 47% of total employees.
Gender analysis of payroll data indicates that the enrollment of net female members was 3.53 lakh in April 2023. The data shows that a total of 63 transgender employees also registered under the ESI scheme in April 2023. It proves that ESIC is committed to providing its benefits to every section of society.
Payroll data is provisional as data generation is an ongoing exercise.
